A simple baby screen app, with parents in control
Baby Lock Screen is a display utility for parents. It replaces the app’s controls with a still screen that ignores ordinary taps. In parts of the app, you may see it called Baby Safe Screen.
Choose a still appearance
- Black: the default, plain black display.
- White: a plain white display, with optional dimming.
- Warm gray: a solid neutral tone.
- Muted sage: a solid muted green.
- Still circles: three fixed, faint circles on a dark background. They do not move or pop.
There are no videos, sounds, games, scores, or effects triggered by ordinary taps. These are appearance options, not scientifically ranked levels of stimulation.
Remember your preferences
Choose a default in Screen settings. The Start button and direct-start shortcuts use your saved appearance, brightness choice, and fade setting. Screen mode works offline and needs no account.
Lower brightness and fade to black
Optional dimming lowers brightness while the screen mode is active. The app restores brightness when you leave the mode or the app goes into the background.
For appearances other than Black, choose a fade delay of 30 seconds, 1 minute, or 2 minutes, or turn it off. The default is 1 minute. The display fades over three seconds and stays black; touching does not restart it.
Keep the phone in the app
On iPhone, use Guided Access and its Touch option. On Android, confirm screen pinning. Without an active system lock, system gestures can still leave the app.
The deliberate two-finger, three-second in-app exit gesture is a convenience, not child-proof authentication. On iPhone it is disabled while Guided Access is active. Practice the complete start and exit flow yourself.
Where this app fits
It is for a parent who wants a plain screen during a brief, supervised moment. It does not block touch over another app, filter content, enforce a daily screen-time budget, or replace a caregiver.
“Baby safe screen” describes the intended use, not a guarantee of safety or developmental benefit. Read the current screen-time guidance and our privacy policy.
